Easy Microwave Merry Christmas Mints

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp Salted Butter or Margarine

  • 3 Tbsp Milk

  • 1 Jar (~16 oz) Vanilla Frosting

  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract

  • Red or Green Food Coloring (Optional)

Directions

  • Prepare a baking/cookie sheet with parchment or wax paper.
  • In a large microwave-safe bowl, heat butter and milk in the microwave until butter is melted.
  • Stir in frosting until combined.
  • Microwave in 30 second bursts, stirring in between, until mixture is bubbly (~1.5-2 minutes total).
  • Stir in peppermint extract.
  • (Optional) add red or green food coloring as desired.
  • Drop by spoonful onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Refrigerate or freeze for 1 hour, or until hardened, before serving.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
