Easy Microwave Merry Christmas Mints

3 Tbsp Salted Butter or Margarine
3 Tbsp Milk
1 Jar (~16 oz) Vanilla Frosting
1/2 tsp peppermint extract
Red or Green Food Coloring (Optional)
Directions
- Prepare a baking/cookie sheet with parchment or wax paper.
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, heat butter and milk in the microwave until butter is melted.
- Stir in frosting until combined.
- Microwave in 30 second bursts, stirring in between, until mixture is bubbly (~1.5-2 minutes total).
- Stir in peppermint extract.
- (Optional) add red or green food coloring as desired.
- Drop by spoonful onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Refrigerate or freeze for 1 hour, or until hardened, before serving.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
